My love for miniature Cream Longhair Dachshunds began long before I ever raised a litter of my own. My children grew up watching and helping my mother raise beautiful Golden Retrievers, and some of my favorite memories are of the puppies, my kids and even my grandbabies playing together and seeing the joy the puppies brought to so many families over the years. Those early years planted the seed for what would later become not just a passion, but a calling.
Eventually my mother and I partnered together to raise many wonderful Golden Retriever puppies.
Working with her was an incredible gift. I learned everything I know from my mother --- from hands-on daily care to the deep respect and responsibility that comes with raising healthy, well-socialized puppies. Our trusted veterinarian also played an important role in guiding me, and over the years I dedicated myself to continual research, learning, patience, and plenty of practice.
One of the greatest blessings of this journey has been the relationships formed along the way. I still keep in touch with many of the families who welcomed a Golden Retriever puppy into their home. Watching puppies grow into beloved family members is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.

My heart and soul dog was a Golden named Merlin. He was truly a once-in-a-lifetime dog for me. He was loyal, gentle, and absolutely my best friend. It was often said, I would give you my kids before I'd give you Merlin... I lost him in 2019 and to this day his picture is still my screen saver. He represents everything I strive to preserve in my miniature longhair cream dachshund program. My goal remains the same: to place happy, healthy, well - adjusted puppies into homes where they will be cherished as family - just as my Merlin was to me.

While my journey eventually expanded into a new direction, the Golden Retriever legacy continues in a very special way. My oldest daughter carries on my mother's legacy by continuing to raise Golden Retrievers (Rocking K Golden Retrievers.com) with some of the foundational bloodlines that can be traced back over 2 decades where they are carefully and responsibly bred today, preserving the history, heart, and quality that began with my mother in 2003.

After many wonderful years with Golden Retrievers, I found myself drawn to the charm and elegance of the Miniature Longhair Cream Dachshunds. Though smaller in size, I quickly discovered they share many of the qualities I value most - loyalty, intelligence, affection, the gorgeous feathering, and a deep devotion to their families.
Transitioning to this breed was not a departure from my roots, but a natural evolution.
I brought with me the same standards for health, temperament, and responsible breeding . The same hands-on care, early socialization, veterinary partnership, research and dedication that guided me with the Golden Retrievers, now guide my Miniature Longhair Cream Dachshund program.
Raising puppies has never been just a business for me. It is a legacy that began with my mother, continues through my daughter, and lives on in every puppy I lovingly raise.

This is my beautiful girl Sadie Rose. She is 2 years old and full of personality and loves to be in your lap. She is the world's best ambush kisser, and believe me she can lick you with her tongue before you have time to even think. She needs her own personal "licker" license. We think her puppies will sparkle she'll keep them so clean.
She is a princess at heart with a kind and sweet nature. She doesn't meet a stranger and loves to be the center of attention.
She is an ee Clear Cream. Her coat is soft and thinner laying closer to her body. She weighs 9lbs. and a petite frame.

This is Sir Sutton. He is 1.5 years old and the sweetest boy. He loves his momma. Sutton is all boy he loves to run and play in the house or in the yard. One of his favorite things is to roll in something and let it be known he was there and on house duty. Thankfully, rarely there is actually nothing messy, he's just letting all the birds and squirrels know he's around. He keeps us laughing with his funny personality.
He is an ee Clear English Cream. His coat is soft and fluffy and his feathers full and gorgeous. He weighs 10lbs and has a longer body.
Please reach us at CreamyDreamyDachshunds@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
American cream will often start light cream but when mature they will have a red base to the coat color whereas the English will be born cream and stay cream when matured.
I am located in Maysville Ga, a small town in Northeast Ga about 45 minutes from Athens, home of the Georgia Bulldogs.
Yes, we often have a waiting list.

To be approved, along with answering the application questions we will need to speak on the phone and have a conversation so that we can get to know each other better. When "Puppy Pick Day" arrives, you will be given a personalized individual folder pertaining only to that puppy with all Vet's medical records, when next shots are due and any other pertinent information, along with all AKC Paperwork , 30-day AKC insurance offer, and AKC microchip information. You will go home with a goodie bag full of toys, scent blanket from mom, sample pack of puppy food, along with other fun goodies that every new puppy owner needs.
Short answer is NO. I'm a firm believer in a puppy and their new human pick each other. During the Golden Retrievers days I was always amazed at how many times people would have an idea from multiple pictures sent to them over the weeks of the puppy growing and when it came time for "puppy pick day" another puppy would almost automatically be drawn to them. It was an instant bond. You will be given a plethora of information on each puppies personality to help you make the best decision for you and your family. But at the end of the day, if you still can't decide I'm happy to help you pick a forever fur baby.
This question comes with so many opinions from different breeders to dog owners. In short, the males tend to be mommas boys and the girls tend to be daddy's girls. There are so many examples though of just the opposite. I strive to produce well-balanced, very well-socialized cream babies that you can't go wrong either way.
When placing your NON-REFUNDABLE deposit you will tell me if you want a male or female.
You will then be placed in the order your deposit was received and cleared if using a check in line matching available male or female preference.
Please note: Dachshunds don't normally have big litters, so patience is required sometimes.
*Breeder retains rights to 1st pick selection on every litter.
The reason I mention that it is not a trick question is because if the price is the first question you have, I'm not the breeder for you. While I whole heartedly understand price is a huge factor, the health, temperament ,and ethical breeding practices are the foundation to a happy healthy relationship for you, me, and your fur baby.
As of January 2026, my AKC puppies are $2300.00 both male or female for a limited AKC registration. I occasionally will consider a full AKC registration starting at $5000.00 to the right breeder that fits my goals and values for the Cream Longhair Dachshund breed.
YES! We offer all new puppies a 1 year health guarantee against life-threatening genetic defects .
Your puppy should be able to go home around 8 weeks. Exact date will always be announced at least 2 weeks before "Puppy Pick Day" so travel arrangements can be made.
I'm willing to HOLD your puppy for 1 week without boarding fee. Thereafter, a Boarding fee of $30 per day will be due in cash at time of pick up and if at 10 weeks the puppy has not been picked up, your puppy reservation will be forfeited and a new family will be chosen from the waiting list for the puppy.
I do NOT ship my puppies cargo, but I do have a pet Nanny that will fly with your puppy for a Pet Nanny fee, paid directly to her and of course any associated flight cost.
